Hi everyone: I am using a brushed stainless material that I downloaded from MXM gallery. Usually when I add it to a circular object the texture flows around in a circle. I have just created a very similar object but now the texture is headed at a normal to the curve towards the centre of the circle not around clockwise. How do I change the direction of flow of a texture? Thanks in advance for your replies!!!!!

Have you tried giving this object an explicit texture mapping? If you don't then you'll just get whatever Rhino decides to give the object, as a 'surface' UV mapping. However, if you select the object, then go to Object Properties > Texture Mapping, you can give it a spherical mapping and adjust the direction using the controls you'll find there.

I sure wish there was a manual/online course for Maxwell much like Rhino's training manual that would allow you to learn rendering from the basic beginner level. Working through different rendering examples from the ground up. I am getting it slowly through trial and error and reading these posts but it sure could be easier another way. Thanks again JD!!!!!!
