Hi,

here some export problems:

the plugin does not export properly the IBL coordinates: if I try to rotate an environment image (spherical type) in modo, the values are always the same (scale -1 1; offset -90 0) in M~R Studio;
the automatic material conversion does not export the new v2 materials, but only one base layer (with BSDF diffuse, specular, reflect...), like M~R 1.7.

Hello,

Could you please send me scenes with wrong IBL export? It was working here, but I have seen that other users had this export problem too. (Also modo 401 and 301 handles the position a little bit different.)
And another important question: are you working in Z-up or in Y-up system?

This happens with all the scenes, even empty (only environment image) and all images type.
I'm working with Y UP.

About the second question? Have you a trick?

Ok, I will check it again, here I work usually in Z-up so it can happen I have missed something.

I will check the material export too, but it probably won't change so match. There are some broken options like stencil map export because of the new V2 material structure - so I have to fix this, but in the other areas of the V2 materials I am not so sure how to make it better for modo. I have some ideas, but still not sure....

Hello Cesare,

You have right about the IBL image conversion, the plug-in hasn't handled the rotated environment maps well. I am fixing it.
Rotation right and left and rotation up and down should not be a problem, but modo environment image positioning is a little bit more flexible than IBL mapping in Maxwell, so it is not possible to match the modo settings in Maxwell in some situations. For example it is not possible to set the base position of the Maxwell IBL maps, their center is always in 0,0,0. It is also difficult to export the scaling of these maps.
