:) Hi,

I installed the modo plugin 64bits on my system (Vista Business 64, modo 401sp1 x64),
after installation the "Maxwell plugin for Modo" folder is located in the programs(x86)/Luxology,
not in the programs/Luxology (modo 64), is that correct?

:( Also the emitter of converted standard light is black: bug or my incorrect installation?

Thanks

Hello,

It is OK to install the plug-in into the "programs(x86)/Luxology" folder, or you can install it in any other preferred folder.

So your installation should be correct.

Some other users have the same problem with the automatic light conversion (the emitter is black), but on other systems it works well (for example here I can't reproduce the bug), so we are still searching for the solution.

Please try to change the Light Material color in modo and export the scene again. I am curious about what happens......

As a workaround (until we don't find the bug) you can select the Light Material, click on the "Light Material +" button, and change the Material type to Replacement mxm file. Create a material, or browse for a material with emitter layer.

But first let's see, what happens if you simply change the Light Material color.

:) Thank you for your reply, Márton.

I tried to change the light color in modo, but nothing, the material is still black;
even, it seems to be empty (the color sliders show only the last selection),
as you can see in the image:

However, the replacement mxm file works fine.

Thanks for the test!

Yes, it seems the exporter sends empty color information to Maxwell. We have made some changes on the code (it will be available in the next update), but because I can't repeat the BUG here it is not sure it helps or not.
