On OSX 10.5.8. I've put the Maxwell2 folder into Applications folder. When I try to run Maxwell Plugin for Modo installer I get a failure notice that says, "Installation cannot proceed, as not all requirements were met". What do I still have to do?

HI,

The Modo plugin installer expects Modo to be installed directly in /Applications/Modo. Check that and try to reinstall.

Hope it helps,

I had older versions of modo installed in the App folder. I threw them away and tried again but no luck. I tried installing the plugin on two other machines, identical to mine, and had no problems. Keep in mind that I DID NOT actually install it on them. I only have to open the installer icon to know whether it's going to work or not. So I just can't figure out what is going on with my machine that won't allow the install. I've repaired permissions, verified the OSX disk. Can't think of anything else.

The only check the installer does is for the paths where it installs, those are:

"/Applications/modo.app/Contents/Resources" and "/Library/Application Support/Luxology". I only can think you changed the name of the modo.app or chenged its path. Please check you didn't.

Thanks,

That was it. Because I had other versions of modo installed, I added "401" to the modo app icon. I deleted "401" and now it works. Thank You!
Part of the problem solving the issue, aside from sheer ignorance, was that the installer's failure notice gave no indication of what the problem was. It just said requirements weren't met.
Oh well, lesson learned.
