SU8 crashes when I attempt to use Maxwell fire or export to render on my models with several 3D trees. I am using SUpodium 3D tree components. I am concerned as I have purchased Maxwell for landscape renderings. Any suggestions to sort this issue would be appreciated.

It doesn't matter how much memory your machine has, SketchUp can use an absolute maximum of 4GB, though in reality, you should expect more in the 3GB range. Things to watch for would be using multiple copies of the same group, where you could be using components instead, and also grass, since you were asking about that earlier. If you have Maxwell Render Suite, make sure you have Scene Manager > Output > Export > Use Instances enabled, and I would also look into exporting individual trees to MXS files, and then using MXS references instead of inserting the trees into SketchUp at all.

Many thanks for the suggestions. Models are now exporting without SU crashing.
