I am having a lot of trouble with Batch rendering that I did not have before I upgraded to the current version (of course it may be completely unrelated, but that is when it started happening) .
I keep getting the "remote host closed the connection" errors.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hello dvsone1440,

This sounds to be a connection issue.

Can you se the Manager verbosity level in "Deep Debug" mode (in the Manager File>Preferences panel) to get a deeper description of the fail, reboot the Manager (to preserve the changes) and send that log to us?

Next time the fail happens, save the Manager log file (in the Manager File>Save Log) and upload that log file here to a further exam.

This will help us to faster isolate what is happening.

I finally resolved this. One of 20 computers did not have a license file in the windows user I switch to for rendering. I did not realize the license file is user specific. So when it went to merge the files, one of them was from an unlicensed machine (although it did have the license file in a different user) and it would just say process failed.. remote host closed the connection. Figured it out by looking at each of the mxi files created and seeing one with a Maxwell render stamp on it. The network seems to be working great now with no more remote host problems
