Ok, I just noticed that on my new computer, every time I start Fire, it also opens and starts rendering on maxwell render.

I don't think this is normal. Any ideas?

No that's not normal, but I'm not sure how it would happen, either. To be sure, could you try uninstalling the plugin, checking to make sure all the plugin files are gone, and then reinstalling? If you need to know where the plugin files are found, just let me know which OS you are on.

Fresh install, still doing it...

FYI: I am using v. Maxwell_for_SketchUp7-2.5.15-win32, Downloaded from the demo page [my company doesn't share access to gateway, and they are not good at updating plugins.]

It only happens when I refresh Fire data, after it finishes exporting all textures....

If it helps, here is Echos (nothing caught my eye...):

Yes, nothing obvious there.

This is a long shot, but I have to ask just to be sure: there is no possibility of a MaxwellExport.dll being present in your SketchUp /Exporters directory, is there? The only Maxwell-related file in that directory should be named Skp2Mxs.dll. I ask because that is an old version of the exporter, and part of how it worked was to optionally start Maxwell Render at the end of the export.

If that's not it, we can try getting a little more detail out of the plugin:

1. start SketchUp
2. open the Maxwell Fire window
3. in Maxwell Fire settings, set SL to 2
4. make sure Ruby Echo is enabled
5. in the Ruby console, type: MX.log=true and hit Enter
6. in the Maxwell Fire window, click the Enable button to export and render the scene
7. wait for it to finish (it should be quick)
8. in the Maxwell Fire window, click the Re-export Scene button

You should now have quite a bit of text in your Ruby console -- don't move the camera or anything, or you'll end up with alot more.

Yep, that's the one. Unfortunately the current iteration of the plugin is a different application, using different installer technology, so it cannot remove the old plugin automatically for you.

I just happy it's been solved.
(Maybe that .txt file with installation instructions could have a note reminding users to make sure old exporters aren't present?)
Tks again.
