Really cool...and quite disorienting. It instantly reminded me of a very particular time, on a family trip out west, coming up on the Big Horns in Wyoming. At one point, the mountains, clouds, and a lake combined with one another, such that I had a hard time, laying in the back of the family van, convincing myself exactly which direction was up.

How do you make logos and stuff render? Like these... (Taken from maxwell sketchup home page)

This type of thing is almost always done using textures. How the author of that image accomplished such texturing in SketchUp, though, I have no idea. If I had to bet, I'd wager that both the geometry and the texturing were done in another application, and then imported into SketchUp.

I am building assets for my Thesis. I am in a BA Illustration program and my thesis is a fictional video game. I've done tons of other work on it, but now that i have found Maxwell it's just going to be sooooo much better than i had figured.

This is the villain's final form when he downloads his mind into an attack mech. He is only defeated when a bomb is sent right into the opening is for his eyes.
