When i render a photo matched model, the perspective is the same but the model gets scaled in the rendering like it is zooming in.

studio viewport after changing the focal length in studio from 49mm to 33mm to correct the scaling

btw... how can i increase the texture resolution in Studio?!?

I don't remember exactly, but i think its still the same problem since v1...

Any hint how to fix this?
Theoretically i need only a region render to comp it, so it will work as it is for this project. But it is quite annoying and quick, direct test renders are not possible.

Yes, there are long-standing unresolved problems with photo-matched scenes. The only workaround I have found so far is this:
  1. Activate the Match Photo Scene.
  2. Click Camera > Parallel Projection.
  3. Click Camera > Perspective.
  4. Render.
This worked for a particular test model I had, but was reported not to work by someone else, with a different model (which I confirmed). Another person reported that if they exported to Studio, with a different Scene active, the camera for the photo-matched scene was correct in Studio, though I don't recall having confirmed this behavior. In any case, I would like to know which version of the plugin you are currently using.

Regarding texture resolution in Studio, it should be controlled by File > Preferences > Viewport Rendering > Performance > Textures Resolution.

Thanks JD for your quick response!

I'm using the latest plugin v3.0.15 and SU8

I tried the parallel/perspective switch and it fixes the camera issue, but then the aspect ratio is lost and the full viewport is used incl. a scaled background image.
But i have then created a new scene and changed the resolution to fit the background image and this works!

Now i remember that i have done the same a few years ago with the project i was working on when i asked in the other thread - saving a new scene and then be able to adust the ratio...

Another workaround, because it needs two scenes now to maintain the original photomatch scene with the background image in SU, but it works!

Thanks! :D
