I have a colleague who repeatedly has issues with textures not showing up in Render (they look fine in Fire) and I kept telling him he was crazy....

Now apparently I am crazy too.

If you render in fire the texture appears fine. Export the model and render in Render and it shows up as a color only.
Double check the texture folder its there... check forward faces... check geometry vs. component painting... all seem to be fine but no texture in Fire.
Anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts?

Thanks
Derek

If you export to Studio, rather than Maxwell Render, do the materials and assignments look correct? If not, what is different? One thing to check might be to compare rendering with Output > Export > Pack & Go enabled/disabled. Another might be to check whether Options > MXS Cache Policy is set to Use Cache, and if so, set it to Invalidate.

whats the texture name and file type? I've had some weird issues with textures through SU and it mostly comes down to:

1) texture names (non-alpha numeric characters are bad mojo) and

2) unique textures (a lot of my designers will use the same default wood texture in sketchup, but then colorize it for to get multiple variations. The problem is that this still reads back to the same "wood.jpg" and sometimes the textures get swapped).
