In "Studio" you have the option to go the "Resources" site and download materials directly into the MXM folder. Do you think it's possible to add this to functionality to the Database Manager?

That functionality is in the Scene Manager's Materials page. Just right-click there and choose MXM Gallery. When you download an MXM this way, the plugin unzips it into Documents\Maxwell\mxmgallery and attempts to fix up any bad paths in the downloaded MXM; it then imports the MXM into the current Scene's materials list. You should find that Documents\Maxwell\mxmgallery is pre-populated in the MXM Browser's (i.e the Database Manager's MXM Browser page) drop-down directory list, so it should be easy in the future to find MXMs you have previously downloaded.


Also note that your login needs to be set in MXED preferences before this feature will work -- apparently, Studio and MXED each have their own set of preferences, so logging in via Studio is not enough.
