Hey,
Wasn't sure if this'd go in the general wish list area as it's completely SolidWorks specific, so I thought I'd put it here. Something I'd like to see implemented is the ability to hide objects from the camera, reflections/refractions etc within a part file. At the moment if you make an assembly you can select a part/sub-assembly and select any of the Hide features, but within a part file those options are greyed out.
For example I make a model of a bottle and generate a scene consisting of some lights and a floor in the same file. I then decide I need the floor hidden yet need to keep the reflections the bottle recieves from the floor; I wouldn't be able to do this currently unless I set up a new assembly with the floor and bottle as seperate part files.
It may sound like I'm just being lazy - which usually is the case - as I could generate an alpha and cut it out or even set up said assembly, but it can sometimes disrupt workflow and I think this would be a cool ability to have.
