#348502
Hi,
I have a question regarding assigning materials to the SW Body followed by assigning a material to an individual face on the SW body.
Once this is done , how does one clear the face assigned material , ie remove it so the material on the face returns to the SW body material ? This seems a simple task but so far no solution have we found.

Thanks
David

To remove a material from one face, you would first make sure that the Object Properties tab is selected in the plugin's Scene Manager, and then select the face. Once selected, Object Properties will show you information about the face, including whether it derives its material (if it has one) from its parent body or feature, or if the material is assigned directly to the face. If the material is assigned directly to the face, you can use the red 'X' button in the Object Properties toolbar to clear the assignment.

If you would like to remove all face and feature assignments from a body at once, you can select that body and disable multi-materials for it entirely using the 'Disable multi-Materials' toggle, also found in the Object Properties toolbar. When you do this, the plugin will ask if you would like to remove material assignments from all faces, or if you would just like to disable multi-material support for the body.

Finally, you can disable multi-materials on a global basis using Scene Manager > Output > Export > Multi-Materials. This switch is disabled by default, but is automatically enabled by the plugin when you assign a Maxwell material to a face or feature.

There is more information about this beginning on page 22 in the plugin's manual. Please feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.
