Hi JD,

i can see maxwell sea can be mapped via the assigned material, i am wondering if there is any possibility (have not tried in studio..) to use an other mapping than the default planar one? I would like to give it a custom mapping object.

thanks,
Daniel

No, there's not any way to do that -- it rather works the other way round: when you ask the plugin to generate a viewport mesh for the sea object, it has to planar map the mesh to match what the sea extension will end up doing at render time.

thanks for the quick answer.

I think I get what you mean, bascially the mapping can't be controlled by the plugIn in any way.

Yes -- for a plugin, the sea is just a set of parameters it passes to Maxwell. At render time, some RealFlow code runs inside the engine, and generates the surface.
