Hi,

I couldn t find a topic about it in the forum. My question is how to I avoid having a decal projected on the backface of my geometry.

thanks

The texture is located by UV coordinates, so what you want to do is to avoid mapping it to both sides of the object. Therefore, you need to use a mapping with spherical, cylindrical, or cubic (using divided texture space) projection. The last option can produce a one-side planar projection, but requires editing the texture map -- the explanation of this is better in the V4 help than the V5 help. Basically, divided texture space expects a map that is six times wider than it is tall; each of the six width-wise regions are mapped to a different side of the box, with the order being: front, right, back, left, bottom, top.
