Does it (i.e. browsing the MXM Gallery) work as expected from MXED or Studio? Because, the MXM Gallery browser window in the plugin is actually not part of the plugin, it is really an instance of MXED. So, I can't tell you much about how it works -- you may get better info asking in the regular Maxwell forum.

Hi,

No it works the same from MXED. I talked to our computer support, and apparently we use a proxy. All browsers copy this setting from Internet Explorer / Windows proxy settings, but it seems MXED does not do this then?

Or do you know of such a setting somewhere?

Hello Bjorn,

Yes, definitely it is that proxy what is causing that the plugin is not being able to access the MXMGallery.

What happens is that the proxy prevents the plugin to connect the website directly (it connects to the proxy, and the proxy connects to the MXMGallery website), so we have no control on that second connection.

Unfortunately there is not much we can do in that circumstances. If your company uses a proxy, then your only way to connect to the MXMGallery is through its website.

If the proxy is removed, then you will be allowed to connect directly from the plugin.

Or maybe your network manager could find a solution in the proxy itself, but is out of our control.

Hi,

So, what you're saying is - that MXED honours the proxy settings and tries to connect via the proxy... but something goes wrong after that?

What information can I give my network administrator, if I ask him to look into it? I mean, theoretically, is there something he can do?

Is this just a regular HTTP request on port 80?
