wondering if maybe sometimes in the future there could be an option to have environment/lighting to be linked to a camera/viewport?
eg.
when rendering with HDR backplates, different views require slight adjustments to offset values to get the right part of the image. also intensity or daytime might be different, or a different HDR after all.... so now for several views it requires to handle (and remember) many presets.

things would stay as they are, but camera/viewport properties get a checkbox to override basic settings; and whenever switching viewport, these get update in the scene manager?

.... just thinking out loud..

I don't think I can retrofit something like this into the existing structure, but the input is good to have for the future. It seems that bit by bit, you might like to end up at a place where the whole scene is part of the the camera, or where you have a collection of scenes, and you can link them to different cameras.

.. no stress :) i was more thinking about what comes sometimes after 2.0.X.

but yes... that would be even better! like making objects to only render in a certain camera?! ..because that is another typical problem.. that object fits perfect in view1.. but looks weird in view2.. and you will forget to turn it back on at some point

i recently saw that mcNeel added a "place camera" command.. it would help to have some objects, or even a visual feedback about the scene setup.. like a separate display mode.. shading the objects in "scene id" color.. and revealing all the cameras.
