I am rendering a scene using an HDRI background and lighting. When I add a small emitter for an LED then MW crashes. I am in Rhino and just hitting the render button. If I change the emitter object to a non emitter material then it works fine. Strange ?

MW 2.0 64bit on VISTA64
Rhino 4 SR6
Plugin is Rhino x86 2.0.1

Any ideas ? Thanks!

OK, this is a different problem ! I had one object that was an SSS material. If I changed this to a non SSS then it is not crashing. Although, without the small emitters close to the SSS object, then there was no crash.

Thanks JD,

It seems like the same issue. It's strange that if there are no emitter objects (just HDRI background) then it works fine. Small emitters near the SSS and crash. Delete emitter object, then make a huge emitter cube somewhere else and it rendered fine again with the SSS. Very random, but at least my problem (or Maxwell's problem I should say) is obviously due to SSS bugs.

Thanks for verifying this !
