Any way to stop a specific emitter from showing in reflections?

I have some emitters that are reflecting in the windows and my client finds the reflections distracting.

Although obviously physically incorrect, I'd like for the emitter to not show in the reflection... But I don't want ALL reflections eliminated from the glass.

If I understand you correctly, you should achieve what you want by selecting the emitter geometry, going to Object Properties > Maxwell, and enabling Hide from Reflections/Refractions.

Ahh yes I believe you are....

The problem with that is that I want the emitter reflections on all the other shiny things in the scene. (It's a boat- lots of glossy surfaces and stainless steel)

I'm hoping there's something I can do to the glass so the rest of the scene is relatively unaffected.

There is a new "emitter blocking" feature in Maxwell 3 which is not yet supported in the plugin, by which individual objects can be excluded from being directly lit by specific emitters. I'm not sure if that would get you what you're after, but you could try exporting to Maxwell Studio to see.

Yes, but I'm not yet sure on a timeline. It may be that I'll need to require that you give a meaningful name to an object before it could be used with the feature (as we know, objects in Rhino are likely to live their entire lives anonymously in most cases).
