Hi.

New user of Maxwell and Rhino.

I am working with a large architectural model in a rhino file. I am using a lot of external blocks that are inserted in to the model. I am trying to use a limited palate of around five materials which I am assigning to layers in the respective block files. I am also trying to make sure I reference the same material in the mxm folder by clicking the MXM link box in the Material Editor. It is shaded and puts a check mark in the shaded box, but then as I am leaving the Material Editor it seems to uncheck but still remain shaded. Does the shaded mean it is linked or not linked. The green text underneath asking "Has Bad Paths? is green and says No.

In any case as I am working in the main model and inserting and changing blocks I start to get a pile up of copies of the materials in the Material pane of the Scene Manager called "material (1)", "material (2)"........"material (11)" etc.

I did a search in the forum for multiple copies of materials but was not rewarded with an answer.

What simple thing am I doing wrong?

Thank-you

Greg
