Either I am doing something really wrong, or the Z-clip function does not work in parallel projection.
I can get it to work just fine as soon as I switch to a perspective view.

I would really like to do some overlays of 2D linework and renderings from a parallel
projection section cut.

Help please?

Thanks.

While Z-Clip will work, technically speaking, in a Maxwell camera generated for a Rhino parallel view, the "Pick Z-Clip Near/Far" commands will not. There is no such thing as a parallel camera in Maxwell, so the parallel views in Rhino are accommodated by the plugin making a camera with a very long (1000mm) lens, and moving the camera position back until there is an approximate visual match. I say approximate, because it is still a perspective camera, and you will therefore not obtain a perfectly precise match between it, and the actually-parallel view in Rhino. If you wanted to use the Pick Z-Clip Near/Far commands, you would need to use a perspective view, and use Viewport Properties to set up this long lens yourself.
