Hi,

Would it be possible to be able to assign render properties such as the "Hidden from camera" on a linked block instance from an external .3dm file? On my block instances the options are greyed out as such:

I'ts hard to use with "Full shadow pass technique" described here otherwise:

wouldn't it be possible if you go to the original linked file and use the hide to camera there?
that's at least the way I do it with internal blocks (I rarely use external blocks)

I noticed an issue with block files: if you use the remove all unused materials, it removes the materials in blocks as well, is that right?

Hi,

Yes I could go into the individual blocks but that is very cumbersome for me. In my render scene file I only have three things (external blocks) and for the shadow pass I would like to hide dem from the camera. These files/blocks, are machine which themselfes are around 500 mb rhino files with thousands of objects. I want to avoid having to open them and select everything in them and hide that from camera, and then having to do the same again to turn it on whenever I want to do a test render with a shadow pass.

Yes, i've seen this to. Only was to restore is to open the file again (if the blocks are linked/external )
