'Curve piping' meshes aren't rendering in Maxwell even if "Ignore RDK" is set to "no." Bug in the program.... or my brain? :)

It depends if you're running Rhino 5 x64 or not -- RDK functions will only work in Rhino 4 and Rhino 5 x86. Does this seem to explain what you're seeing?

Ah, of course, yes, that explains it... So it was my brain after all :)

One more thing by the way... The (floating) scene manager doesn't seem to remember its size between sessions. No big deal, but it would be nice if it did (or is this also a 64 bit issue).

Thanks!

First, is Rhino closing down cleanly (no hang/crash)? Second, you only mention size as being a problem -- is it just size, or both size & position? Third, is the window set to be dockable or not?

Hi JD! Sorry for the delay...

Yes, rhino is closing normally. No crashes. The problem is with BOTH size and position... and the window is floating - not docked. I also noticed that it does remember both size and position if I leave the Scene Manager open when I close Rhino. Then everything is ok, when I open Rhino next time (size and position remembered). I usually don't leave it open though... Often when I have pressed the render button, I close the Scene Manager window and continue modeling - in the same file or in another.

Now we are getting somewhere. I have to clarify, when I write 'dockable' I am referring to Options > User Interface > Dockable Scene Manager. If that is set to Yes, then you are using Rhino's docking window system. If it is set to No, then you are using a standard window, which is not dockable at all. In the latter case, I control everything, and the window should always remember its position. In the former, I do not have as much control, and the behavior you describe is the expected one.

Going by the description of your workflow, I think you may prefer to set Options > User Interface > Dockable Scene Manager to No. The user-interface will generally work best that way, too; there are various glitches that I have to work around when putting it into a Rhino dock bar, which are not present when running in a normal Windows window.

Ahaa, I see! That was it! It was set to "Yes." I changed that to "No" and now everything is working as it should. Great (I guess I didn't read the manual good enough...)!
Thanks JD :)
