Hi,

i am just building some material test scenes, and because i have a lot of materials in the rhino file for testing, i noticed that all materials get exported, even when the objects rendered only have eg. 2 assigned.

could this be prevented?

it takes very long when using "send dependencies" on network rendering, as it loads tons if textures which are never needed!

thanks,

daniel

I understand your point, but after I did that, the first complaint would be predictable: "why isn't the plugin exporting the materials I have put in my scene?" It is always an option to use the material list's Remove Unused command, either in Rhino before exporting, or in Studio, afterwards.

yes,.. i guess such a situation would occur..

but let's say like "export active camera only" , maybe an "export active materials only" flag is, ahmm.. possible? :)

because remove unused, is not undo-able.

i send many jobs to network directly from rhino, so i never use studio unless i have to.
