Hi Guys- I am wondering if this is already available or if not if you guys think we could write a script for it.... here is what I am thinking.

Often I try to duplicate a shot, usually I am trying to set up a particular view that I can then swap out objects and hit render. This way I can achieve some consistency in my shots. So I usually have to set up materials in the Top, Right, and Front viewports leaving the view consistent and not touching the Perspective viewport. Obviously this is a pain- is there a way to "save a shot" then be able to move around the Perspective viewport setting up textures etc and then go back to the previously saved "shot".

Love to hear your comments.

Try this:

1. right-click the 'Perspective' viewport label (blue box at top-left in viewport)
2. select Set View > Named Views
3. click Save...
4. enter a name for the view and click OK

Now you can recall that view into any viewport by clicking Set View > [view name]. Each Named View gets its own set of Maxwell camera parameters.

Cary, if you want to make a minor change to that named view it's very easy to save. With the adjusted view go to named views, click/highlight that named view and click save, it will update/override it.
