I noticed if I hide some polygons softimage always crash when i start render.

Hi, can you send me a scene so I can have a look ?

I didnt create any sample scene. Its easy to check:

1.Create e.g.cube
2.Select any poly
3.Press "h"
4.Try to render

No crash here. Renders as if polygon is not hidden in both Maxwell and FIRE.

No crash for me either, what version of the plugin/XSI are you using and on what OS?

you are right had some plug-in problem. Reinstal helps

Did this also happen to solve your problem with the disappearing instances? because I have been unable to replicate it from the scene you sent us.
