I've found that if there is any value on the scatter slider, even if there is an image connected the scatter color port, export and preview doesn't consider the connected image.

If you remove the scatter values, it will use the connected image.

Using Softimage 2012.sap, and 2.6.4 plug-in

Textures connected to Scattering parameter are only exported when you have Single Sided SSS. You can check this in MXM Editor. I agree that in XSI is a bit confusing as it is right now since the constrain is not visible at all. We'll try to find a way to make it more obvious.

ah - got it, thanks for the reply. I probably would have known that if I used Studio more, but I use SI almost exclusively - I'll dive into studio a bit more in the future.
