as i did not see it been addressed here in the plugins board, i post it here again.
if you render from within the c4d plugin, there is always some simuLens parameters active, even if it looks like they are disabled in maxwellrender.
if you want to have an untouched image you should check and then uncheck some parameters of simuLens, then it works.
