Hey all

I posted this in reply to a query in the main forum but it should be here too as it's a C4D file. Someone was having problems with the UV mapping in the standard material previews and I mentioned that I had made my own version of the scene to fix that and add a couple of other things. I have a Cinema 4D scene which I created which is still just a simple sphere or box but in 2m and 20cm sizes so that I can evaluate absorbtion distances. There are also solid and walled versions to see how that affects absorbtion and IOR. It's nothing fancy but I UV'ed the spheres with a simple front projection so that I could clearly see how my texture looks on it without any spherical mapping distortion. You're welcome to take it and adapt it to your own needs, let me know if anything's unclear in how I set it up.

Hello Rich,

Could you post also some screenshot that visually show the advantages and main features of your preview scene?

This will help to evaluate it.

Thanks!
