The more interesting question is when XGen (available since 2014!) will be supported ;)

Unfortunately there's even one more unsupported thing that spoils the new Maya tools. That's vertex color that is actively used by MASH but totally unsupported by Maxwell. Even when it's used just to paint the whole shell.

It would be nice if Next Limit at least could acknowledge that they are aware of Maya 2017 and that they are working on a Maxwell 3 plugin for Maya 2017. The silence is very uncomforting.

I've just uploaded a new version of the plug-in on the early builds site which adds support for Maya 2017. Sorry for the long wait, we've been busy with other stuff, and also the Autodesk subscription portal went crazy and refused to give me access to the software for a week or so.

Hi Mihnea,
Thanks, it looks like the update works fine with Maya 2017.
May I ask you to comment on XGen compatibility plans?
Thank you.

Hi everyone.

Does anyone have a problem viewing the sea, grass and scattering objects, etc... in the viewport 2.0 window in Maya 2017 update1? I am not able to see them at all. I appreciate your help.

Plugin version 4.0.3

Thanks,
Abed
