I know that maxwell can render a region. (part of the frame)
But up to now I cannot figure out how to do it.
i am using maya 2012 and maxwell 2.7

After you see the image at a SL that allows you to determine the region you need, STOP the render and then select at the camera's drop-down menu "Region" instead of "full". Then click the small fence icon that appears next to it. Mark your region over the rendered image you stopped and then click "RENDER" again. that's it...
