Hi,
I just bought maxwell render. I downloaded the plugin and installed it. Now, in maya, fire works, but
any normal render gives me the error
// Error: Could not locate Maxwell installation directory.

one, more thing. To activate the license it says
"open Maxwell.exe (Win) or Maxwell.app (Mac) and go to Help> License Info. A pop-up screen will appear."
But can´t find the maxwell.app

Did you install Maxwell? That's a separate package from the plug-in, you need to get it from the download page.

no i didn´t, because I didn´t saw it in the dowoad page.
All I have in the download area is step 1, step 2 and step 3.
And in step 3 is only the plugin download. Where do I download maxwell?
