Hey,

Running maya 2012 SAP, Maxwell 2.6 with the latest Maya plugin on Windows 7.

Have a strange issue we can't resolve. On random occasion we have a scene that won't render the alpha out. The scene is using exr and embedded alpha and it renders fine in Maxwell, you can even see the alpha there. Once you click stop and view the image in Maya (this is also happening in Lightwave) the render is fine but the alpha is missing. When I went and tried to reproduce the problem I couldn't do it. Is this a known issue, or user error?

I have a simple scene that currently has this issue that I can upload if needed.

Cheers,
B

For anyone also dealing with this...

The alpha wasn't the same image type as the RGB output which causes a bit of a hiccup creating a totally white alpha. Just make sure the rgb and alpha are of the same type and bit depth. I'm told this will be fixed in an upcoming patch.
