The Adaptive Precision check box (Displacement) gets greyed out as soon as it is checked : it is then impossible to change its status again.
If I get it right, it's the precision slider that should be disabled when Adaptive Precision is checked.
I'm using the latest plug-in version.

By the way, correcting the bug can be DIY :
File AEmaxwellLayeredMaterialTemplate.mel > proc maxwellAdaptivePrecChanged :
change "control -e -enable ($adaptive == 0) $controls[5];" to "control -e -enable ($adaptive == 0) $controls[6];"

You're right, I forgot to update that line when I shuffled some controls around in the UI. Thanks for reporting it, it's fixed for the next build.

A temp turnaround if you don't want to mess with the AE file is to turn off the Adaptive Precision value trough the channel box.
