I exported an animation as a series of number mxs files from Maya plugin into a folder.

Now I am rendering them using the batch script provided in the Maxwell renderer (gray icon'd software)

I'm getting mxi files, which is good, but I'm also getting tifs (I changed them from pngs) but my tifs are all 8 bits. I specified 16 everywhere I could find. Where did I miss? Where is it getting the 8 bits specification from?

Does it produce 16-bit TIFFs if you render one of the frames by opening that MXS file in Maxwell and hitting render? If so, it must be a problem with the batch render script, or with the engine when running in this mode. Otherwise it's most likely an export problem on the plug-in side, so I'll need to look into it.
