Hi,
I seem to be having a basic problem when rendering in Maya (Win 7, Maya 2014). On the Render Settings Common tab, I have the "Renderable Camera" set to camera1 which is a basic camera I created. But when I render, I get a render of the perspective window which is the view I started the render from. If I stop the render, I am able to select camera1 in the Maxwell Camera drop down menu and then restart the render and the camera1 view is then rendered. I've gone through all of the render related menus, panels etc. that I can find - is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing to have Maxwell render the camera1 view when it first starts?

Thanks,
Mike

Maya always renders the selected viewport. This isn't specific to Maxwell, you can set the active renderer to Maya Software and it will do the same. The renderable camera setting is only taken into account when you do a batch render.
