Hi,

I have an image sequence on a Maxwell shader and when I scrub the time line the image updates to the correct frame. If I try and playblast it though it just sticks with the image that I start playblasting from and never updates... Anyway to get around this?

This is Maya 2012, Max 2.5.1 and plugin 2.5.12

Cheers,
B

Any help on this would be great, making wips is turning into a nightmare...

Is it an openGL error and I have the wrong video driver? or something I need to turn on in the hardware shading? I've tried every setting I can throw at it. I've got a GTX 285 if that helps.
Converting everything over to a lambert shader is a bit of a pain, not to mention if your using layering it's not as simple either.

Cheers,
B

It's not an OpenGL error, it's a limitation in the system used to process scene updates in the plug-in. We've changed that for the upcoming Maxwell 2.6 plug-in and playblast updates fine now (along with a number of other things), but it's a big change so it's not easy to backport to the 2.5 branch. I'm afraid you'll have to wait for Maxwell 2.6, but that shouldn't be too far away. The current target is the one advertised at SIGGRAPH, September - October.
