Well, it's been a long road, and I've tried to keep track of the issues here in this forum so you could see what came up for us in production.

We had a small project. 2 shots. I proposed Maxwell for the renderer. The client liked the look.

The project expanded to one to two dozen shots, and a vehicle I had partially textured in Maxwell was sent to a team overseas to rig, animate and render in Mental ray, which they did.

Parallel to that work I tried to still render the shots in Maxwell.

I received a rigged vehicle as a reference file, textured in Mental Ray, , and a bunch of animation files referencing the vehicle, some of which contained additional Mental Ray shaders.

I have textured the vehicle in Maxwell.

No matter what I do I can't get the Maxwell shaders to show up fully in the animation files.

I think my only option now is to re-attach the Maxwell shaders to the vehicle a dozen or so times, once for each shot.
