If I leave an animation render unattended for overnight it never goes more than about 5 frames (about 100 minutes) [HD SL=9 object smallish in frame]

Is using Maya batch render the proper way to submit an animation to Maxwell?

I'm trying to identify if the computer goes into some sort of power saver mode and stops the render. I'd hate to have to babysit it, but it won't run unattended.

Any ideas?

Maya batch should work, but maybe it's a memory problem again. Can you check if the batch render process crashed?

If you've got enough disk space, you can also try exporting all the frames first (via file -> export) and then using Maxwell in animation rendering mode (load the first frame in Maxwell, then use the "frames" input box in the options panel to specify your range, e.g. 1-50). If exporting all the frames works, you can rule out insufficient memory problems and look for other causes, like the computer going to sleep.
