Hi,
I'm using 3ds Max 2013 only.
I saved .max file with maxwell 3.0 plugin.
Then, uninstall the 3.0 plugin and re-installed 2.7 plugin and re-opened this file in Max.
But this error message shown.


I cannot open max file itself.
IMO, this is not good solution. Alert popup is better. Aren't you?

The 2.7 plug-in cannot read scenes created by 3.0 because several internal structures have changed. That's a bit like trying to open a scene made with the latest version of Max in an older version. The 3.0 plug-in is slightly better in this respect: if it finds a scene saved with a newer version (say, a future 3.1 plug-in), it skips loading the render settings, but still allows the rest of the scene to load. We might back-port this behavior to the 2.7 line at some point, if time allows.
