Hi everyone!

Im trying to render an animation but i´ve noticed something weird with the ouput process. Launching the animation from max works fine but the jpgs are saved too bright. I´ve tried to save a single file directly from the .mxi and it does it correctly, therefore i think it has to do with some parameter in max or a posible bug.

Here are the two images, first saved during the animation rendering and second saved directly from its .mxi.

Please check if the Simulens parameters displayed by Maxwell when rendering are the same as those specified in the Max render options. If this is not the source of the problem, could you send us the scene so we can debug it?

Simulens parameters look exactly the same.

Here is the link to the scene.

I dont know if shaders and textures are needed in order to debug correctly, but after packing the whole scene it was too big (560mb) so i just send you the .max file, hope is enough, if not i´ll see how i can send you the hole scene.

Thanks

yes, that could be the problem. Some time ago i was messing around with 3dsmax gamma, but i cant remember what i did exactly.

I now have a 1.8 value for display and bitmap gamma parameters inside max, can you tell me if those are normal values?

How can i check if color profile i correct?

standard on PC monitor is 2.2
standard in maxwell settings is 2.2 too.

so if picture is saved by 3dmax (output bitmap settings) not by maxwellrender itself. There is probably a problem.

Strange... max wont let me change output gamma in any image format, its using system default gamma. Any idea on how i can change output gamma?

Fixed! you were right zdeno, i had apply a output gamma inside max which was affecting maxwells gamma.

Thanks mate!
