Hi All,
Sometimes I have to render an mxi that will only just fit on my ram. When I hit render the combination of 3dsmax file and mxi causes a crash. Is there any way to export the mxi so that I can close 3dsmax and render the mxi seperately?

The plugin does not currently generate MXI files, but you can export an MXS scene by pressing the Export button in the main max menu and selecting the Maxwell Scene File (MXS) format. You can then use the MXS to render the scene.
