I want to use the material converter from MOTIVA. Although this plugin is compatible with MAX2011, it is not with Maxwell 2.0
Is it possible to have max 2010 with 1.7 and max2011 with 2.0 in the same PC?
I guess it is not possible to have 1.7 and 2.0 working with the same MAX release, right? It would be better if this was possible though...

Any advice?

Yes.

It's not possible because the plugins share the same object IDs, file names etc.

OK, I installed MAX2010 and MW1.71 and what I found out is this...
1. You can't use architecturals or promaterials so Revit -> MAX-> Maxwell doesn't work much faster...
2. It seems that maps from vray or standard maps cannot be transfered to Maxwell mats...

Can someone confirm the plugin works ok for him?

Anyone has something to share? The plugin doesn't seem to work for me even for 1.7 / 2010

Sorry to warm up this thread but I'm also looking for such a converter. The MOTIVIA converter gives me a script error that a MaxwellMaterial can't be created (max2010 with maxwell 2.x).

Are there any working converters around which convert multi-mat mar+design mentalray mats to Maxwell??
