I just installed the demo of MR2.

Now when I open a scene in max, there is only one maxwell render plugin (you guessed it, it's v2)

How can I have both versions, available?

You can have both install kits and install the one you need and the replace it by the other one, or, manually copy maxwell.dlr from \plugins and maxwell_camprop.ms from \Scripts. (and maxwell_mtlprop.ms in 1.7).
