Everything related to SDK.

Hello,

Will the SDK allow the manipulation of existing mxs files? The reason I ask is although you are developing a plugin for autocad it isn't clear whether this will read DWG files or work within Autocad?

Autodesk Revit has XML extensions embedded in the DWG/DXF files which contain material, UV mapping information generated from the internal renderer (accurender).

Ideally it would be great if the standalone supported these extensions:-) The alternative is using the SDK to add these to mxs files.

Thoughts appreciated as I'm still trying to decide whether I will need VIZ.

Right now the only way is through the SDK, creating MXS files that Maxwell can read. The SDK will also allow the manipulation of MXS files in the future. We don't discard adding additional import features to the standalone, but now we will focus on the SDK.
