We have delayed the SDK a few days ( version 1_1_23 don't have SDK ) because we are developing a more detailed documentation and adding some improvements. We'll incorporate the answer to your questions. I think it will be ready very soon.

you need to at least put some values into the turbidity ozone snd water,

defaults i use are 3,.65,2

here is where i calculate julian

http://quasar.as.utexas.edu/BillInfo/JulianDatesG.html

film width and heght are in mm i believe

angle in the camera is the angle of the blades of the shutter

focal point is the lookat for the camera it is also the distance in cm from the camera that a subject should be in focus or the center of interest

therefore its distance is of utmost importance to your render

the focal point should always be local to the camera z-axis it never moves off that axis, make sense? you can parent a point to the camera and only adjust its z poistion then use the world space loaction of that point as the focalpoint

focal length is always in mm

the rest of the things i need clarification on myself . . .. but ive only done a couple of plugins for houdini and i had alot of help . . .

i write my own temporary format from houdini and i just need to convert it to mxs . . .just need a starter file . . . . i assume i use msvc++
but im a rookie in the c++ world . . .especially in windows

btw , NL am i close or should i study a little more before giving advice . . .
