Everything related to Maxwell Render and General Stuff that doesn't fit in other categories

Well they just sent a solicitation to sell cross grade licenses. So either their CRM system was left on by the last employee, or there is at least one person trying to sell licenses for a software that hasn't even done a bug fix in nearly 4 years.

The biggest concern is compatibility side.

Actually you can use Maxwell Render within ADA Gpus ( RTX4000) thanks to a little file modification.
( something you could discover only by reading the forum)

Does it work with the upcoming 5000 series?

I was in love with Maxwell but D5 render and Twinmotion are definitely superior.

Quality wise D5 render it’s amazing and you could render a project in less then 5 minute

Doesn’t cost a fortune.

And you could forget about looking around for new assets.

Plus the direct link add on between Archicad and D5 render is a game changer and a time saver.

For
• architecture
• landscape design
• interior design
• urban design

D5 render is a perfect choice.

High quality, huge ready to use library, full support to real time modification between BIM / cad software on the fly.

Twinmotion could be useful for your specific needs.

It’s free and constantly updated, used for product design too.

Keyshot is quite popular in the industrial design scene too.

I still use and love Maxwell Render, but it doesn’t received an update in nearly 4 years.

- Archicad 28 missing an updated plugin
- Doesn’t support natively ADA GPU
( need to use a workaround )
- the V4 and V5 roadmap isn’t finished yet
- some feature still missing while GPu rendering
- Does will support series 5000?

well I've looked into D5 but for me it's useless as it has no support to Maya, also no matter what - Maxwell quality is top, always. It's like, Vray/D5/Corona are all images that you say "this is CGI that looks real" while Maxwell images you say "this looks real and so good, it must be CGI !".
I built my own asset library over the years. Using stuff from sites like 3DDD is very easy as MR materials are great even with the simple wizard "textured" material preset. CPU is rendering faster by the day. I believe the correct way of more dev into Maxwell and put it back as popular top choice is to make a merge of it with the AI image engines to deploy wayyyy faster noise-free real images. e.g. check out Krea, for example. You get real time high quality images while typing ... yet none are good enough to really understand you and DWG of a project. So, just imagine, using an AI for faster solving a scene... while keeping Maxwell uncompromising quality attitude.
