Hello, I am experiencing the maxwell grass in Maya.
It is great!
Anyway I would like to point some considerations on the Grass Level of detail window.

Here is what happened to me:

The first thing that you see is a Check Box that says Use LOD
I didn´t figured out what was LOD so I didn´t used it.
Instead i went directly to the settings so that I could have a better use of my available RAM.
I tried with lots of diferent settings for several days without good results, my renders crased over and over again.
Finnally i used a really drastic setting so that the grass will show of only at one meter of the camera, and then i realized that it was not working.
That was the opportunity to check the LOD box although i was wondering what was the meaning of LOD, and bingo! It worked. Then I realized that LOD means Level Of Detail.
Of course I am not so smart!

But It would be better if the Level Of Detail window would be fool proof.

In order to do so, i would avoid using those letters "LOD"
Instead, it would be better if the check box would say "enable" only.
In such a way there would be no doubt of the use.
To make it even more clear or if you prefer Fool Proof, if all the settings would be blocked, and showed in gray, unless you check the "enable" box, there would be no way to fall in the mistake.
I hope you can do that!
thanks
