They just released a new version of the free Substance Player here: http://www.allegorithmic.com/products/player

It contains a demo version of the Bitmap-to-Material Substance and some other useful free samples (animate-able caustics, wood floor generator ,etc.) -- but the big reason I mention this is it fixes a bug that had been keeping me from using it on my primary machine (an issue with ATI drivers).

One other thing worth mentioning here is you are now able to set a custom maximum resolution for the "baked" textures (up to 32786 x 32786 pixels)... this will still be somewhat dependent on how the Substance was originally created, but with many Substances you will be able to output ultra-high resolution textures now.

For more information about the Caustics sample go here: http://www.allegorithmic.com/community/ ... d-caustics

For more information about Bitmap-to-Material go here: http://www.allegorithmic.com/substances ... p2material

Also worth pointing out is their new Grunge Maps package which looks really nice: http://www.allegorithmic.com/substances ... t-volume-1

Best,
Jason.
