As NL already has some experience working together with The Foundry with the Nuke Plugin, I wish a direct connection between their Mari and Maxwell Fire.
It's great to have such a fast feedback on material previews now with Fire, but editing materials, such as for example the positioning and orienting of anisotropy would be so awesome when the user would be able to paint it and get the "realtime" preview in Fire. So far, texture editing is pretty painful process with all the reloading/resaving for example with the Photoshop.
Of course there are some issues with constant file reloading, but I'm sure NL engineers can/could come up with a straight solution to paint / render in "firetime".
